B&B Open For Business in Southport, North Carolina

The Bed and Breakfast welcomed its first guests this week!  The B&B guests had rave reviews for our chef’s seafood quiche with shrimp sauce and belgian waffles with fresh blueberry sauce. The balmy Southport weather was perfect for strolls to the Cape Fear riverfront and NC Yacht Basin.  We’ve barely taken the Christmas decorations down and outside the daffodils are beginning to emerge.

We were pleased to be the first guest of the Inn at the beginning of January. This was our home away from home for several days while our Southport home underwent repairs from a ruptured water heater – which has now relocated from the third floor to the garage!

The Inn’s décor is wonderful. While this historic home has been totally remodeled, the furnishings give you a feeling of stepping back in time. The porches and patio provide a place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Southport.

The breakfast was to die for – and certainly more food than we needed for the whole day! David cooked up new fare each day and treated us to a sweet something upon our return in the afternoons. Please don’t book while you are on a diet – you will miss a real treat. David was most accommodating to our schedules and needs.

It is in a perfect location to enjoy walking to many restaurants, to the river, or to the park to swing and watch the boats and birds. For anyone visiting Southport this is the perfect place to enjoy our quiet historic town.
